Wen-Chin Wu, a saxophonist who graduated from Chiayi Senior High School and Taipei National University of the Arts, is now a student of Arno Bornkamp (Amsterdam Consevatorium), before was following the instruction of Mr. Chia-Hsiu Tsai (a former student of John Sampen, professor of Bowling Green State University). Wu began the music education of saxophone at the age of fourteen, and had shown his great talent while beating out all other candidates who aimed to enter the Taipei National University of the Arts, the best conservatory among the rest in Taiwan in 2005. Wu’s major performance experiences including saxophone solo, ensemble and new music.

Wen-Chin Wu has widely interests in different areas of music and shows his passion by taking parts in music festivals, including the Canada choir music festival “Powell River Kathaumixw” (as baritone, TNUA Choir) in 2006 and the 15th Saxophone Congress in Bangkok, 2009. Apart from the area of classical music, Wu actives in various types of art performance. He acted in the play “Follies” (as “Ben”), produced by TNUA in 2008. He was also invited to record his own commercial album “The Tempted Saxophone of Wen-Chin Wu” by MOS Burger, one of the biggest burger chains throughout Asia in 2009, and even joined the making of theatre music of “Wandering in the Garden, Walking from a Dream” in 2011. He proved his administrative capacity as well by holding the post as the President of the Student Society, Music Department of TNUA in 2006.
